Help us grow
Running services for our clients costs a lot in terms of experience and expertise, resources, office space and equipment. We are not funded by any government department or other major organisation, and rely on donations to keep providing our services.
As well as the drop-in center, support group and community outreach programmes, we also have more than 50 members who rely on us for home visits where we offer guidance and counselling, and ensure they have the food and medication they need to stay healthy. At the moment we are unable to visit our clients as often as we would like, and there is always a risk that their situation could deteriorate without us knowing. While we use volunteers as much as possible, our members have difficult needs that require fully trained and fully paid counsellors, and this is out biggest cost and need.
We need donations to help pay our staff, and we are also looking for sponsors to send our counsellors on training courses so they can cope with the difficult situations in which they are sometimes the only available form of help. Keeping our services free for the people that need us most is crucial to the work we do, and we can only keep doing this work with help.
We are always greatful for any donations that individuals, companies or organisations can give, and will always discuss sponsorship opportunities or any other material donations.
The support group also has several income generating activities that help cover costs of the group sessions, and provide a sence of independence to people living in hardship with HIV/AIDS.
